Biography

Dr. Thomas J. Gast, MD, PhD, is founder of Eye Surgeons Inc, a multistate practice in the upper Midwest. He retired from private practice to take care of his children, then went back to work in ocular imaging research, in an attempt to improve the understanding of various ocular diseases. He was a pioneer in imaging the trabecular meshwork, the area critical to the development of glaucoma.
